Brian Kemble - Nearly Agave

Brian Kemble will give a slide presentation on the less familiar Agavaceae. Members of this family are not very well known except for Agaves and Yuccas. This will be a chance for us to learn more about plants seldom seen in collections.

Brian is the currator the Bancroft Gardens where he specializes in Aloes, Echeverias, Gasterias, and Agaves. He has traveled extensively in the American Southwest, Mexico, and Africa studying succulents in their natural habitat.

Plants of the Month for February: Agavaceae - Agave, Beaucarnea (legacy), Beschornia, Calibanus (legacy), Dasylirion (legacy), Furcraea, Hesperaloe, Manfreda, Nolina (legacy), Polianthes, and Yucca
