Preparation for Our First Fall Show

The date for our first Fall Show & Sale is approaching fast. Sign-up sheets will be passed around for the various positions that we will need to fill to make this event successful. Having complete coverage for security is of paramount importance and an area in which we have had problems in previous shows. We need people to sign up as cashiers, cashier assistants, for Friday night set-up, and for Sunday clean up. As in the Spring Show & Sale, there will be a delicious barbecue for the workers on Saturday and Sunday. Food will be provided for the Friday night set-up workers.

Bill Munkacsy on Copiapoa

Bill Munkacsy will be presenting a program on one of his favorite genus, Copiapoa, including a slide presentation on plants and habitat. He will bring some of his marvelous show plants and a nice selection of sale plants, too. (Note that nice plants purchased now will satisfy the six-month ownership requirement for our Spring Show.)

Members with last names starting with G through L should bring a snack for the September meeting.

Elton Roberts Injured

Elton fell in one of his hothouses and sustained a severe cut and injured his hip. He is home recuperating. Get Well cards can be sent to his home.
