Keith Taylor - Growing and Displaying Caudiciforms

Keith Taylor became fascinated with caudiciforms in 1990 after a trip to the Strawberry Canyon Arboretum and purchased his first plant shortly thereafter. The fascination soon turned to obsession, and his collection expanded rapidly. Today he is growing approximately 1000 plants. He has experimented with growing mediums and conditions, pot and raised bed culture. His goal has been to simulate native growing conditions and have habitat looking plants. Not being satisfied with commercially available containers to display his plants, Keith started creating his own pots in 2007. He was elected to the position of President for the Sacramento Cactus and Succulent Society 2010.

Keith will bring plants from his collection to show and talk about growing conditions and how to display. He will demonstrate how to select the right pot for the plant and how to stage for a show winning presentation.
