Call to Order by President Linda Delgado at the Prusch Park Meeting Hall at 11:00 A.M.

LAST MONTH’S MINUTES for the Board of Directors Meeting on July 13, 2008 and on August 3, 2008 were both approved with two corrections to the August minutes: 1) in the Call to Order, correct spelling of Alyene Daggett’s name. 2) in New Business, strike second sentence, “Currently he hand writes them all.”

TREASURER: No new balance for Sept. The balance as of May 4, 2008 is approximately $13,500. The cost of using the NorCal cash registers will be increasing from $100-400. It will include credit card capabilities.

MEMBERSHIP: With renewals, the total membership is now 93 people.

HOSPITALITY: Judy has volunteered to take care of the hospitalities for the time being. Thanks Judy!!

The November PROGRAM will be a slide show on Caudiciforms and Pachycauls presented by Barbara Coelho from the Fresno Cactus and Succulent Society.

LIBRARY: Nothing new to report.

AFFILIATE: Nothing new to report.

MINI SHOW: Nothing new to report.

SPRING SHOW: The 2009 Show and Sale will be held on March 27-29 at Buchser School in Santa Clara.

FALL SHOW: October 4 & 5 for the Fall Show and Sale at Buchser School. This will be a People’s Choice Show. The Board spent the first 1-hr of the meeting putting stamps on approx 600 postcards.

BY-LAWS: Linda and Sandy have volunteered to spearhead the updating of our Operating Procedures and our By-Laws this calendar year. This process is open to any club member that might be interested.

OLD BUSINESS: Nothing new to report.

NEW BUSINESS:

The meeting was adjourned at 12:15 P.M.

The next meeting will be on November 2, 2008, at the Prusch Park Meeting Hall at 10:30 A.M.
