BOARD OF DIRECTORS

January 6, 2008

Call to Order by President Linda Delgado at the Prusch Park Meeting Hall at 10:45 A.M.

LAST MONTH’S MINUTES for the Board of Directors Meeting on November 4, 2007 were approved.

 

TREASURER: No new balance report for January. The balance as of Oct 2007 was $18,295.36. Our bank corrected the credit card charges for 2007, and sent us a refund of $565.

 

MEMBERSHIP: The total membership is 69.

 

HOSPITALITY: It was suggested to have the hospitality provided for by different board members on a rotating basis. This will be addressed again at some future time.

 

The February PROGRAM will be a hands-on afternoon of making clay planters. Cathy Hendig will be our guide in this activity. Members are asked to bring a few basic tools and items to create texture, and Cathy will bring the clay. A nominal fee will be charged for the materials and the firing of the planter.

 

LIBRARY: Member Tim Thies graciously made a donation to be used towards our club’s library fund. We are looking for suggestions of books we may want to acquire.

 

AFFILIATE:

Tony Bassano volunteered to be the liaison between our club and the 2008 Guadalupe Gardens Show. We will have three tables that we can set up any way we want. It was suggested to have a sale table, a potting table, and a display and membership table. CSSA is putting out their past 70 years of journals on a CD, starting from 1929. Our club may want to acquire a copy of it for our library.

 

MINI SHOW: Linda will make available the 2007 final listing.

 

SPRING SHOW: April 12-13 at Buchser School in Santa Clara. Chuck and Bill M. to run the show and sale this year.
