LAST MONTH’S MINUTES for the Board of Directors Meeting: Minutes were not available.
TREASURER: Roger was not available.
We discussed the credit card. It was moved by Bill M and seconded by Chuck to change banks to get away from the bank charging us for the credit card function. Motion passed.
Norcal will provide us with this function in the future.
Note: Roger sent an Oct 2007 Treasurer Report via Email. Current: $18,295.36. (I noticed an error in Cecelia’s payment. She got 30% club got 70% LD)
MEMBERSHIP: No report
HOSPITALITY: Bill K is following up with Jaan & Peter on a time-lapse presentation. We may couple this with a potting and staging event.
We discussed having Brian Kemble come.
We discussed taking a trip to Davis on the train.
We talked about Elton comings.
December is our Holiday event.
We decided to use local and club members for the club plant give away. We got the three pots for the Mini show winners at our show and sale. (December) We will give the point winners the option of taking a plant from the giveaways or getting show bucks for our April Show and Sale.
LIBRARY: Nothing new to report.
AFFILIATE: No report
MINI SHOW: This is going well. New listing to follow. Winner to be announced at Holiday event.
ANNUAL SHOW: Bill K mentioned that we need to start thinking about April 2009 because of an Easter conflict.
We talked about the "Peoples Choice" judging of our October Show and Sale. We will look at this closer for next year.
BY-LAWS: Nothing new to report.
NEW BUSINESS:
We talked about Norcal and the credit cards and cash registers. They will also be looking for some educational displays for their show and sale.
We got an update from Tony on the Guadalupe Garden. It is looking really nice. We will have a sign that will show that we are the sponsors.
We talked about the Convention in Tuscan in 2008.
OLD BUSINESS: Nothing was discussed.
The meeting was adjourned at 12:50 PM
