LAST MONTH’S MINUTES for the Board of Directors Meeting on March 7, 2004 were approved.

TREASURER: The treasurer was absent from the May board meeting.  The estimated balance as of May 2, 2004 is approximately $7500.00.

MEMBERSHIP: The CSSSJ has 100 paid members as of May 2, 2004.

HOSPITALITY: Nothing new to report.  Bill Kurtz will remain the interim hospitality director as we try to find a volunteer to take over the position.  The group agreed that the club needs to more aggressively find someone to take over this position.

PROGRAM: Roger Lane will be the presenter at the May meeting, giving a talk on his trip to Argentina.  The program for the June through August meetings is to be determined. Linda Delgado is to query Bonfante Gardens to see if they will give a group discount to the club for a possible Summer field trip.  Woody Minnich will be the presenter at the September meeting.  Mark Mauradian will be the presenter at the October meeting.  Several of the upcoming meetings will be moved to the second Sunday of the month, due to schedule conflicts with the park, or holidays.

LIBRARY: Linda now has six boxes of the club’s library holdings in her possession. Either a lot of the books are missing, or we recently sold a lot of them.  She will continue working on updating the list.

AFFILIATE: Nothing new to report.

MINI SHOW: Bill Gingras is considering taking over the position of Mini-Show chairperson, if Paul Long wants to give it up.

ANNUAL SHOW: Nothing new to report.

The meeting was adjourned at 11:55 A.M.

The next Board meeting will be on June 6th, 2004, at the Prusch Park Meeting Hall at 10:30 A.M.
